Paper Shredding/Secure Destruction
STACKS is proud of the closed loop, 11 step secure document destruction process it performs to ensure client information is never at risk for exposure, and protects information prior to the shredding process.
- Upon arrival at your facility, we validate the barcode of the collection container which begins the tracking or “audit trail” of your documents for destruction.
- The material is immediately moved from your locked bin to our locked bin before it leaves your premises.
- That locked container is then moved to our GPS equipped and locked vehicle.
- By securing the collection bin, transferring it to a locked collection truck and returning it to our secure facility, we remove the possibility that an accident in the truck puts your material at risk.
- The GPS equipped truck is then transferred to our shredding facility to await destruction.
- The paper is unloaded and shredded, meeting NAID certification requirements.
- Plant-based destruction means that the material, once it is shredded is then processed into a 1200 lb. bale and moved into a secured trailer for transport.
- A numbered security seal is applied to the locked trailer and dispatched directly to a contracted paper mill less than 300 miles from our facility.
- Upon arriving at the paper mill the transport trailer is unloaded and all shredded material is pulped for recycle.
- At that point the numbered seal is returned to STACKS for closure of the transfer process.
- A Certificate of Destruction is prepared for your records.

All destruction is in compliance with industry regulations including HIPAA, FACTA, Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Plus, our state of the art shredding equipment handles staples and paper clips with ease. Report covers, hard bound books and even X-rays are no problem.
